Grants to this Grantee
for support of states’ large-scale assessment and accountability programs
The National Center for the Improvement of Educational Assessment supports the technical, practical, and policy issues surrounding large-scale educational assessment and accountability programs. The center will convene experts to develop principles and provide advice to the U.S. Department of Education about criteria for comparing pilot student assessment programs. The center’s work will help states, districts, and deeper learning advocates expand the number of students assessed on a more complete range of knowledge and higher-order thinking skills.
