The Board on Science Education and the National Academy of Engineering — both part of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine — will undertake a consensus study project that provides guidance on addressing educational inequity in STEM education in the K-12 system. The study will examine educational inequities, assess efforts to address educational disparities, and highlight promising practice in policy and program development. The study will inform the creation of educational environments that promote success in STEM for all children, regardless of background, demographic status, or community.
