Overview
This general support renewal grant will support the Montana Wilderness Association’s organizational mission of protecting as much of the state’s remaining 7 million acres of roadless land as possible. To achieve its goal, during the grant period, the Association will seek enactment of new wilderness policies and ensure that Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management plans protect their roadless lands. The Association will work to broaden its support base, particularly among young people, sportsmen, businesses, tribal members, and women. It will also educate decision makers, the public and the media on the value of roadless lands to Montana.
