Overview
A grant to the MonAme Center in Mongolia will fund a project will explore, for the first time in North East Asia, cooperative ways to ensure fuel supply and guaranteed spent-fuel take back arrangements. A multinational fuel center would increase nuclear security by reducing the need for countries to develop indigenous fuel cycles and by housing spent fuel in a very secure location under IAEA inspection.
