for capital campaign support for Lisser Hall
Mills College will renovate Lisser Hall to create a fully accessible, professional presenting, performance and rehearsal space for the arts. Lisser Hall will serve both the students on campus and the broader theater, dance, and music communities in the East Bay. Mills College anticipates expanding its curriculum to include interdisciplinary collaborations and performance opportunities at Lisser Hall, where students and the community will engage with the Bay Area’s vibrant and diverse cultural offerings.

In recognition of the Hewlett Foundation’s 50th anniversary, the Hewlett 50 Arts Commissions initiative supports the creation and premiere of 50 exceptional works of performing arts. This grant will support "Indra’s Net," an interdisciplinary work exploring the interconnectedness of the universe, which will premiere in the San Francisco Bay Area no later than December 2020.
