Overview
This grant supports the Global Strategic Communications Council, a program of the Meliore Foundation, to expand its strategic communications capacity in Africa. The grant will enable enhanced engagement of local partners and create new opportunities for African voices to resound more strongly, in both the region and globally, on climate change. The focus will be on climate action that both contributes to African energy security and sovereignty, and that supports a just transition away from carbon-based fuels.

Telling stories of the impact of U.S. policies, both inside and outside of the U.S., can promote a global “race to the top” in terms of effective global climate action.
