Medical Students for Choice

For General Operating Support

Overview
A major barrier to access to safe and affordable abortion is lack of trained physicians. Medical Students for Choice is a grassroots organization working to incorporate family planning and abortion into medical school curricula, thereby helping to ensure a new generation of abortion providers and pro-choice physicians. The organization now has 154 chapters that cover more than 80 percent of the medical schools in North America, as well as several chapters internationally. This grant will support the organization’s continuing efforts to promote reproductive health education and training for medical students and curriculum changes within medical schools.
