Grants to this Grantee
for the 2020 50 Arts Commissions for dance and movement-based performance
In recognition of the Hewlett Foundation’s 50th anniversary, the Hewlett 50 Arts Commissions initiative supports the creation and premiere of 50 exceptional works of performing arts. This grant will support the Margaret Jenkins Dance Company in developing and presenting "Global Moves" by choreographer Margaret Jenkins. In the face of waves of national/international isolationism and xenophobia, "Global Moves" will be a collaborative dance event of hope and unity that draws on the combined creativity of choreographers from the United States, India, Israel, and China.
