Overview
Link Community Development International is a U.K.-based nonprofit organization that works with local civil society organizations in Africa to improve the quality of education. Through its local partners, Link develops educational standards, improves information about school performance gaps, and strengthens the capacity of school management committees and school inspectors to exercise oversight and jointly resolve problems. This grant will support analysis and peer learning about social accountability in education among Link’s partners and with other practitioners in Africa to inform future program interventions in Transparency, Participation, and Accountability in the education field.

This grant will support a program in Uganda to raise awareness among parents and school communities about what a "good school" looks like; strengthen the capacity of school management committees to use school performance data to exercise oversight and problem-solve; and create clear accountability mechanisms at the district and national levels.
