Jobs to Move America

Jobs to Move America envisions a nation where all levels of government use the power of public funds to create public good – fostering an inclusive democracy, equitable economy, and healthy environment that works for all communities. Jobs to Move America will publish papers, organize webinars, and convene stakeholders to advocate for changes to a twisted neoliberal definition of “competition” in federal law that has undercut the social change potential of public purchasing. Rather than using investment in infrastructure, the green economy, and public health to achieve multiple goals, federally funded purchasing has created profits for big business, while prohibiting related public policies such as local hiring, racial equity, and policies to address the climate crisis.
