San Francisco Friends of Chamber Music is a ten-year-old service organization providing fiscal sponsorship and educational and networking support to chamber music groups in the Bay Area. This grant would support the organization’s small grants program, which supports emerging and small-budget chamber ensembles across the Bay Area meet their artistic, organizational, and professional development needs. It is important to note that San Francisco Friends of Chamber Music has a broad definition of chamber music that embraces small music ensembles performing jazz, folk, and other genres and styles of music. With renewed support, the organization plans to continue to conduct its Musical Grants Program and maintain the geographic and genre diversity of applicants and recipients.
