Overview
The Institute for Transportation and Development Policy provides technical expertise and advocates for sustainable urban design and increasing the use of transit, cycling and walking in Asia, Africa, South America and North America. With this OE-DEI grant, ITDP will build on ongoing DEI efforts to develop work plans and implementation of DEI practices across all regional offices. The goal is to develop a working environment that makes ITDP a preferred employer and more effective in all its programmatic work.

for scaling up electric charging infrastructure and parking management in Indian cities  
The Institute for Transportation and Development Policy aims to create sustainable, livable, and equitable cities around the world. With this grant, the institute will focus on scaling up electric charging infrastructure that’s integrated with progressive parking management systems, through supportive policies and action plans, for cities in India. (Substrategy: Electrification)
for advancing electrification in China and India transport  
The Institute for Transportation and Development Policy promotes environmentally sustainable and socially equitable transportation in cities worldwide. This grant supports the institute to make progress toward its goal of replacing high-carbon personal vehicles with low-carbon shared and electric vehicles. Specifically, the institute will work with cities to electrify buses, informal transit, and shared micromobility in China and India. The lessons from this work will serve to inform the development of a global electric bus policy and implementation guidebook.

The Institute for Transportation and Development Policy works around the world to design and implement high-quality transport systems and policy solutions that make cities more livable, equitable, and sustainable. The institute also works to scale up sound urban planning policies in India, China, and Latin America, in ways that reduce greenhouse gas emissions and advance economic development and quality of life.
