for the Ransomware Task Force
The Institute for Security and Technology (IST), formerly Technology for Global Security or Tech4GS, is a unique West Coast-based nonprofit: part think tank, part incubator, and purely nonpartisan. It has grown in reach and influence and serves as a bridge between the tech community in Silicon Valley and the policy world in Washington, D.C., specifically in the security space. Early this year, IST launched its Ransomware Task Force (RTF), one the most successful and recognized cybersecurity task forces in recent memory. The RTF brought together over 60 experts from industry, government, law enforcement, civil society, and international organizations to produce a comprehensive framework for ransomware mitigation. This grant would support IST and its partners to implement that strategy.
