Overview
IDinsight designs, deploys, and promotes evidence-generating tools designed to help organizations to combat poverty worldwide. The organization’s guiding principle is to inform decision makers' priorities, maximizing rigor with decision makers' budgetary, time, and operational constraints. IDinsight's goals include building long partnerships that help governments improve specific policies and programs while simultaneously building their capacity to use evidence; expanding its data innovation work (including survey infrastructure that allows for data collection faster and at 10-50 percent of the cost of traditional surveys); and sharing its tools and learnings with others.

for assessing and highlighting gender-specific conditions and impacts in IDinsight's projects
IDinsight is a global nonprofit that seeks to improve development outcomes by providing data analytics, evaluation, and advisory services to leaders in government, the nonprofit sector, and funding agencies. This project will enhance IDinsight’s ability to integrate gender analyses into client engagements. Specifically, IDinsight will identify gender-specific conditions and impacts related to social protection, economic empowerment, and taxation. During the one-year grant period, IDinsight expects to build organizational capacity to examine gender-specific conditions and impacts; expand the scope of at least three high-profile client engagements to include a gender dimension; and document and share the extent to which adding a gender dimension affects the salience, acceptability, and results of these client engagements. (Strategy: International Women’s Economic Empowerment)
