Overview
Ibis Reproductive Health improves women’s reproductive autonomy, choices, and health by conducting research in the United States, Latin America, and sub-Saharan Africa to inform advocacy for access to safe, affordable, high-quality reproductive health care. During this grant period, Ibis’ efforts will include a focus on testing new approaches to measure the quality of abortion services and abortion stigma, building new partnerships with service delivery and advocacy groups that can best identify their communities’ research needs, and managing the effort to make an oral contraceptive available over-the-counter in the United States.

Grants to this Grantee
for general operating support
This supplemental grant is for Ibis’ expanded programmatic work to meet the recent challenges in the reproductive health, rights, and justice landscape in the United States. In order to help Ibis meet the moment, U.S. Reproductive Equity is providing this additional funding. Ibis Reproductive Health improves women’s reproductive autonomy, choices, and health by conducting research and pursuing principled partnerships in the United States, Latin America, and sub-Saharan Africa to inform advocacy for access to safe, affordable, high-quality reproductive health care. Ibis works to increase access to high-quality abortion services, transform access to abortion and contraception through technology and service innovations, and expand comprehensive sexual and reproductive health information and services. This grant is aligned with both the Global and U.S. Reproductive Equity strategies.
for support of work in South Africa for resource mobilization, regional partnerships, and wellness
This grant will support Ibis Reproductive Health to work with a team of consultants to analyze the African funding landscape and develop a resource mobilization and fundraising plan for its Africa regional office. This investment will allow the Africa regional office to identify and target specific funders well-aligned with its strategic priorities. There is also an allocation in this grant for wellness in furtherance of the organization’s charitable purpose.
