Overview
The Healthy Schools Campaign has since 2002 worked to advance policies and practices that enhance student learning. The organization’s chief goal is to ensure that schools have the capacity to support and sustain healthy learning environments for children. Through this grant, the Healthy Schools Campaign will make explicit connections between the social, emotional, and physical wellbeing of students and deeper learning by building awareness, documenting effective practices, and developing tools for educators.

The organization’s chief goal is to ensure that schools have the capacity to support and sustain healthy learning environments for children. Through this grant, the organization will continue to work with states and school districts to leverage new and sustainable funding for physical and mental health services in schools; provide guidance and resources to the broader field to support scaling and sustaining the expansion of school health services; evaluate the use of chronic absenteeism data to support healthy student growth and development; and highlight the importance of healthy schools in the national discourse.
