Overview
Healthy Schools Campaign (HSC), a national nonprofit organization, works to ensure that schools can provide students with healthy environments, nutritious food, health services and opportunities for physical activity. This grant will support the organization as they center equity and anti-racism throughout their work. With this grant, Healthy Schools Campaign will 1) Build and strengthen HSC's policies and practices to address equity internally and externally; 2) Recruit new board members; and 3) Analyze and plan its policy work using an equity framework.

Through this grant, the organization will continue to work with states and school districts to leverage new and sustainable funding for physical and mental health services in schools; provide guidance and resources to the broader field to support scaling and sustaining the expansion of school health services; evaluate the use of chronic absenteeism data to support healthy student growth and development; and highlight the importance of healthy schools in the national discourse.
