Headwaters Economics is an independent, nonprofit research group whose mission is to improve community development and land management decisions. Its work connects equity, climate adaptation, conservation, and the strategic use of technology to help community leaders and policymakers make more informed, data-driven decisions. Headwaters Economics provides the public and policymakers with credible economic analysis of natural resource issues. This renewal grant would produce and distribute analytic tools to grantees and the public, demonstrating the value of protected public lands and national monuments and provide rapid response information to grantees seeking to reform public lands policy, particularly in the area of fossil energy.
