This grant will support researchers to conduct a randomized controlled trial to assess the impact of improved access to family planning services on contraceptive use, fertility, child and maternal health, women’s empowerment, and economic outcomes. This research will provide evidence on how a comprehensive intervention to expand access to family planning could increase contraceptive use in sub-Saharan Africa and what the longer-term effects are.
for a project on cybersecurity and using data for public good at the Berkman Klein Center  
This grant to the Berkman Klein Center at Harvard University will support its ongoing engagement of top-level practitioners from the federal government, business, academia, and civil society with diverse perspectives on cyber surveillance and privacy issues in rethinking the role of the state in promoting cybersecurity. It will also support the launch of a complementary new effort focused on state and local law enforcement officials.

This project grant to Harvard University will support development of a new, interdisciplinary field of scholarship and practice on legislative negotiation; create materials to teach core principles of legislative negotiation in Congress and state legislatures; and make the materials widely available under a Creative Commons license for use by practitioners, educators, and scholars.
