Great School Choices, Inc. is dedicated to engaging and empowering underserved communities around issues of school quality, access, and equity. The grant will support the release of a paper, and a related convening, that will engage community members, including parents, around school quality issues in Oakland, California. Attendees will learn about and discuss recent education trends and policy issues relating to black students in Oakland, in an effort increase parent and community demand for improved education conditions and outcomes.
