for support of the Black Feminisms Forum 2023
The Black Feminisms Forum 2023 convenes 400 feminist activists, scholars, policymakers, cultural workers, and funders to facilitate a deep dialogue for Black feminist organizing. The forum contributes to building and nourishing an ongoing, transnational, and intergenerational community of organizers, encouraging Black feminist movements to share knowledge, tools, and strategies. This work is fiscally sponsored by the Global Fund for Women. The 2023 forum is as an opportunity to connect a diverse set of individuals from multiple movements, territories, and identities to strengthen the Black feminist movement and foster collaboration.
for support of the civil society engagement in the Generation Equality Forum
This grant supports the Global Fund for Women to strengthen the meaningful inclusion and strategic participation of grassroots feminist activists in the Beijing +25/26 processes. The inclusion and participation of feminist activists aim to maximize the impact of the Generation Equality Forums and ensure that priorities and commitments toward gender justice are cocreated with those most affected. These mobilizing efforts will inform subsequent work by feminist movements to establish accountability mechanisms for private and public sector commitments to advance women’s rights.
