Overview
The Global Fund for Children (GFC) will establish the Juliette Gimon Fund for Courageous Leadership to honor the spirit that Juliette brought to her work with children and young people globally. Annual awards from the fund, the Juliette Gimon Courage Awards, will recognize innovative organizations that survive and thrive in especially challenging economic, cultural, political, or environmental contexts, and whose teams exhibit fearlessness and resilience in their quest to advance education, gender equality, freedom from violence and exploitation, and empowerment for children and youth. The awards will be given to grassroots organizations that both focus on any issue affecting children and youth in GFC’s thematic focus areas and to organizations that focus on amplifying the empowerment of girls and/or strive to achieve gender equity through engagement with both boys and girls.
