Grants to this Grantee
for the Biodiversity and Sustainable Development conference
The Global Development Conference on Biodiversity and Sustainable Development will focus on substantive and inclusive discussions at the highest level of expertise, grounded in empirical evidence and focused on these interrelated topics of mainstreaming biodiversity: financing nature and biodiversity, diverse knowledge systems, nature-based alternative solutions to development challenges, the interplay between agriculture and food production with biodiversity and ecosystem preservation, links to poverty and inequality, as well as the implementation of the landmark agreement at the last COP15 – the United Nation’s Convention on Biological Diversity. This grant provides promising researchers and activists from sub-Saharan Africa and Latin America the opportunity to disseminate their work, interact with academics and policymakers, and network globally. The conference brings forth new knowledge and southern perspectives on the intersection of biodiversity, sustainable development, and women’s economic empowerment.
