Overview
An organizational effectiveness grant to the National Security Institute (NSI) at George Mason University’s Antonin Scalia Law School will support a wide array of capacity-building efforts including the development of a fundraising plan; professional development opportunities including executive coaching, leadership and management courses for its staff; and a facilitator to lead the Institute’s annual offsite meeting to examine critical issues such as NSI programming, outreach efforts and its Fellows and Advisory Board engagement. This grant is directly aligned with the Cyber Initative's overall goal to create a multidiciplinary cyber policy field and its sub-strategy to build a set of core institutions with sufficient depth of expertise to deliver solutions that take competing values and trade-offs to pressing cyber policy challenges seriously.

This grant supports a faculty collaboration between two George Mason University centers: EdPolicyForward: The Center for Education Policy, and the Center for Advancing Human-Machine Partnership (CAHMP). The project, informed by both rigorous empirical research and advanced machine learning and analytics, aims to place actionable insights at the fingertips of practitioners that will enable them to improve student access to opportunity and outcomes through more equitable, efficient, and effective allocation of educational resources.
