Overview
The Fund for Educational Excellence serves as the local education fund for Baltimore City Public Schools and is committed to improving the quality of education for all students through systemic change. This project aims to improve outcomes for two critical challenges currently experienced by school systems nationwide: teacher retention and effective instruction with a focus on advancing equity. Through this grant, Baltimore City Public Schools will create a model for structured, long-term pedagogical support for early-career educators in mathematics with the potential for systemic change (both internally and in other districts) via adaptation to other disciplines.

The Fund for Educational Excellence partners with Baltimore City Public Schools on a broad set of improvement initiatives to strengthen education for children in the school district. The fund believes that a strong public school system is the foundation for success, and it works to close the equity and opportunity gaps for all students in the district. This grant will support educational travel opportunities for students selected by the district in line with the foregoing objectives.
