Grants to this Grantee
for support of the Congressional Legacy Program
The Former Members of Congress Association’s Congressional Legacy Program will create a record of our current political climate through interviews with at least 30 House members retiring after the 115th Congress. FMC will prepare and publish a report to Congress based on analysis of the interviews and their collective themes. The oral histories will be donated to the Library of Congress, making them available for future research. They will add to the Library’s collection of oral histories of Members collected by FMC in the 1970s. FMC will draw on political scientists, historians, and others to provide guidance and in-depth analysis, and to ensure that the material serves as a valuable resource for future scholars.
