Australia, as one of five members of the "Five Eyes" intelligence alliance, remains a key U.S. partner in determining norms and structures for governing cyberspace. The Jeff Bleich Centre for the U.S. Alliance in Digital Technology, Security and Governance at Flinders University, established in 2019 by former U.S. Ambassador to Australia Jeff Bleich, is the only Social Sciences research and education center in Australia with a focus on social cybersecurity.
