Grants to this Grantee
for support of the Civil Discourse Program
The center is working with the Justice Anthony M. Kennedy Library and Learning Center, which is located at the Robert T. Matsui Federal Courthouse in Sacramento, California, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals on a one-day program on civil discourse. The program, which will be held in Sacramento on September 15, 2017, will highlight the judiciary as a model for reasoned and respectful discussion of differences. Justice Kennedy will be the keynote speaker; the center will be inviting a group of approximately 100 participants, including members of the judiciary, educators, journalists, elected officials, and community leaders.
