Overview
The Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Training Program accelerates a shift to a low-carbon transportation system and creates opportunities for individuals to receive certification that will open access to a rapidly growing segment of the economy. The program provides qualified electricians with comprehensive training using a curriculum developed through a collaboration between universities, labor unions, auto manufacturers, electric vehicle supply equipment manufacturers, and utilities. This grant supports the Talent Pipeline Challenge, aimed at developing a workforce qualified to fill high-quality jobs that will build U.S. infrastructure. (Substrategy: U.S. National Policy)
