Overview
The Educational Policy Improvement Center helps educators better equip students for postsecondary success. The grantee will work with the Anaheim Union High School District to enable teachers to use a deliberate reflective practice whereby students consider their own interests, connections, and learning to reinforce mastery of their goals. This work, undertaken as one of a cohort of new grants that are research-practice partnerships, will document the necessary elements for similar implementation in other districts and will introduce new theories about the spread of innovative practices.

for strengthening state policy and local implementation of California’s school accountability system
The Educational Policy Improvement Center (EPIC) helps educators create systems that improve students’ college, career, and life readiness. With this grant, EPIC will disseminate examples of successful accountability practices that support deeper learning. Working with district and school partners, EPIC will develop and roll out tools designed to strengthen local implementation of the state’s new accountability system and funding law.
