for strengthening impact evaluation capacity, knowledge, and policymaking in Tanzania
The Economic and Social Research Foundation (ESRF) is a Tanzanian think tank. This grant supports their Impact Evaluation Laboratory, which works to improve government policymaking and implementation in government through introducing or expanding the use of policy-relevant evidence. During this grant period, ESRF aims to increase the capacity of its staff and other Tanzanian researchers to conduct, publish, and drive the use of policy-relevant impact evaluations. It will also support government counterparts who want to use impact evaluations to inform policy design and implementation. This work advances our Impact Evaluation substrategy within our Evidence-Informed Policymaking portfolio, particularly our goal of growing the field of African impact evaluation researchers.
