East Meets West is developing a new form of nonprofit organization—a family of innovation networks comprising strong, dynamic organizations. East Meets West uses mergers and acquisitions as a growth strategy to unlock the potential of organizations that have excellent leadership and programs but cannot find sufficient funding to drive their efforts. Its work focuses on clean water/sanitation and hygiene, education, and healthcare, all with an aim of improving outcomes for disadvantaged people around the globe. This grant would support a cross-sector conference this fall at Stanford to help build momentum behind this emerging strategy.
