Grants to this Grantee
for the Oil and Gas Accountability Project
We recommend a project grant to Earthworks, an organization dedicated to protecting communities and the environment from the impacts of mining and drilling in the United States The objective of the grant is to identify new potential policy opportunities to regulate tight oil production, specifically its fugitive methane emissions, in the Eagle Ford, Bakken and Monterey shales, in Texas, North Dakota and California, respectively.
for support of the National People's Oil and Gas Summit
This one-time grant is to fund a meeting convened by EARTHWORKS Oil and Gas Accountability Project in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for a natural gas summit aimed at exploring the impact of shale gas development in the eastern United States. The purpose of the meeting is to bring together advocates that are working on natural gas issues in order to build stronger support for stricter controls and oversight over natural gas development.
for the Oil and Gas Accountability Project
Earthworks protects communities and the environment from the adverse impacts of mineral and energy development in the United States, while promoting sustainable solutions. With this renewed support, Earthworks will concentrate on advocating for regulations and policies that protect climate and health in oil-producing regions of California, Colorado, New Mexico, and Texas.
