Drag Story Hour

Drag Story Hour employs the art of drag to celebrate reading and build societal acceptance of people who defy rigid gender definitions. The organization’s network of 35 national and international chapters, which are run independently from Drag Story Hour, provides age-appropriate literary and creative programming that helps young people develop empathy, learn about gender diversity and difference, and tap into their creativity. Drag Story Hour supports its local chapter network by providing training, resources, booking referrals, and technical assistance. This grant advances the Performing Arts Program’s Communities strategy.

This grant is for legal technical assistance to help increase understanding of the current landscape as grantees engage in DEIJ-related charitable activities.
