Overview
Djerassi Resident Artist Program is located on a remote, rural 583-acre tract of land in the coastal mountains in Woodside. Each year, 90 artists are provided the opportunity to live, reflect, and create for one month periods, all free of charge. Artists from multiple disciplines — including choreography, music composition, media arts, visual arts, and literature — live on the campus together, and thrive on the intellectual stimulation and collegial interaction of Djerassi’s intimate artist community. With renewal of support, Djerassi will maintain its seasonal residency programs, continue to build partnerships with arts institutions around the nation, and strengthen its presence in the local community through onsite programming. Djerassi will also address critical facilities renovations and strengthen its financial sustainability.
