Overview
Djerassi Resident Artists Program enhances the creative practices and careers of multidisciplinary artists by providing uninterrupted time and space for work, reflection, and collaboration. It is located on a 583-acre tract of forested coastal mountains. In a typical year, the program gives approximately 65 artists the opportunity to live on its rural campus for a one-month period, free of charge. Artists are provided with living space, food, studio spaces, and fellowship with other resident artists. In addition, the organization stewards its land and maintain the campus buildings and infrastructure through eco-friendly practices. Support of Djerassi Resident Artists Program aligns with the Performing Arts Program’s Artists strategy. Organizational support will help the organization integrate equity, inclusion, and diversity principles into its policies and procedures, and provide professional development opportunities for the senior leadership and junior staff.
