Overview
In recognition of the Hewlett Foundation’s 50th anniversary, the Hewlett 50 Arts Commissions initiative supports the creation and premiere of 50 exceptional works of performing arts. This grant will support "Angel Island Oratorio," inspired by poetry inscribed on the walls of the Angel Island barracks between 1910 and 1940, which will premiere in the San Francisco Bay Area no later than December 2020.
