Overview
The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) is an independent, nonpartisan membership organization, think tank, and publisher. It gives its members, government officials, business executives, journalists, educators, students, and others the resources they need to better understand the world and the foreign policy choices facing the United States and other countries. A longtime grantee, CFR convenes meetings where senior government officials, members of Congress, and global leaders join its members to discuss and debate major international issues. CFR also publishes Foreign Affairs, the preeminent journal of international affairs and U.S. foreign policy. A renewal grant for general operating support would allow CFR the flexibility to continue to respond to breaking international news and trends.
