Overview
The Arts Education Partnership, housed within the Council of Chief State School Officers, is a national coalition of more than 100 arts, education, business, philanthropic, and government organizations that demonstrate and promote the essential role of the arts in the learning and development of every child and in the improvement of America’s schools. The organization is highly valued for its leadership and its major contributions to arts education research. In 2012, the Arts Education Partnership plans to launch and grow ArtsEdSearch, the nation’s first online research clearinghouse focused entirely on student and educator outcomes associated with arts learning in and out of school. Support for the program’s current Phase II would expand, enhance, and sustain this important resource for arts education providers in California and across the nation.
