CORE is a nonprofit organization that seeks to improve student achievement by fostering productive, meaningful collaboration and learning among its ten member school districts. CORE will refine, implement, and share its innovative approach to school accountability and continuous improvement. Codification and dissemination of these approaches will support the delivery of deeper learning practices at greater scale and demonstrate how district measures and assessments can contribute to California’s new state accountability system.

CORE Districts is a collaboration of school districts working together to improve student achievement in California. Since 2010, CORE has connected and supported educators across urban, rural, and suburban districts so they can make research-based decisions about school improvement. CORE works with school districts to innovate, implement, and scale new strategies and tools that eliminate equity and achievement gaps, which will lead to successful outcomes for all students.
