Overview
The Conservation Lands Foundation's goal is to expand the National Landscape Conservation System to encompass the entire range of biologically important Bureau of Land Management lands and to ensure the system is managed for ecological integrity. Some of the initiatives the organization would undertake during the grant period include an effort to create a robust system of support groups around key National Landscape Conservation System lands, to implement the new Secretarial Order on managing National Conservation System lands adopted by Interior Secretary Ken Salazar in 2010, and to bring new attention to the needs of these lands through outreach to the public, policymakers, and the media.
