This renewal grant to the Conservation Lands Foundation will provide funds for its successful efforts to encourage the President to create new national monuments on public land, and to build long-term support for the National Conservation Lands, a new system of Bureau of Land Management protected areas. During the term of this grant, the Foundation hopes to see five or more monuments created and demonstrated broad public support for several more. In addition, the Foundation will continue its program to create new citizen groups for National Conservation Land units and educate decision-makers and the public on the merits of the system.
