for the Pioneers Alliance to protect Idaho's Pioneer Mountains and Craters of the Moon landscape
The Pioneers Alliance, a project of the Conservation Fund, is a collaborative that works with community groups, landowners, ranchers and farmers, and sportsmen to conserve the natural and cultural values of the Pioneer Mountains and Craters of the Moon landscape of South-Central Idaho.
for protecting Idaho's Pioneer Mountains and Craters of the Moon landscape
The Pioneers Alliance, a project of the Conservation Fund, works to protect the working ranches and public lands of the Pioneer Mountains and Craters of the Moon National Park in central Idaho. The 3 million acre area is a major wildlife corridor used by antelope, elk, wolves, and many bird species as they migrate from the mountains to lower elevations around Craters of the Moon. This grant would fund the Alliance’s work to build rancher support for conservation of the area’s public lands and private ranches, secure $3.5 million in new funding for private land conservation easements on 25,000 acres, and adopt greater controls of off-road vehicles on 145,000 acres of public lands.
for protecting Idaho's Pioneer Mountains and Craters of the Moon landscape
The Pioneers Alliance, a project of the Conservation Fund, seeks to protect the working ranches and public lands of the Pioneer Mountains and Craters of the Moon area in central Idaho. The three million acre area is a major wildlife corridor connecting Yellowstone National Park to wild lands in Idaho. This grant would support the Alliance's work to build rancher support for conservation of the area's public lands and ranches, secure $5 million in new funding for private land conservation easements, document the migration of wildlife in the area, and adopt greater controls of off-road vehicles on public lands.
