Grants to this Grantee
for Community Schools Learning Exchange
Community Initiatives is the fiscal sponsor of The Community Schools Learning Exchange (CSLX), which builds the capacity of policymakers, school leaders, educators, families, and ultimately students as they endeavor to implement and refine whole-child community schools. CSLX envisions community schools that are organized to create and sustain the optimal conditions for teaching and learning; are inclusive, equitable, and student- and family-centered; and are interconnected with the organizations and people within the communities they serve. CSLX’s approach to bringing about community schools that reflect these qualities prioritizes strategies that foster long-term commitment to systemic change. (Substrategy: Educator Capacity)
for the Just Solutions Collective
Just Solutions Collective, a fiscally sponsored project of Community Initiatives, works to build the capacity needed to scale equity-centered solutions to the climate crisis. Just Solutions supports environmental and climate justice organizations to strengthen their individual and collective policy capacity, elevate new policy models, and build a learning network. Just Solutions is working to ensure that the implementation of federal climate investment legislation brings positive environmental, economic, and social outcomes to communities. (Substrategy: U.S. National Policy)
