Overview
The Community Foundation Sonoma County (CFSC) will provide leadership for Sonoma County’s mid- and long-term recovery from the wildfires of October 2017, which destroyed 5,300 homes and 126 businesses. CFSC will expand its internal capacity to provide coordination and communication among the many organizations working on fire recovery and will raise additional funds for the effort. It will also actively engage the community in the recovery, convene a new cross-sector community fire recovery leadership group, and create a $1 million fund for an initiative to build the capacity of local nonprofit agencies that are critical to recovery.
