for the Climate One project
The Commonwealth Club of California is a nonprofit, nonpartisan educational organization based in Northern California. Founded in 1903, it is the oldest and largest public affairs forum in the United States. Its mission is to be the leading national forum open to all for the impartial discussion of public issues important to the membership, community, and nation. This grant will support the club’s Climate One project, which is centered on providing journalistic content for the field of climate change. It will support a three- to five-year three-phase strategic growth project that consists of (a) audience research to better understand who are the current and prospective listeners, (b) the composition of a strategic plan for growth, and (c) implementation of the plan once it’s in place.
