for the Saving Cyberspace Initiative at the Saltzman Institute
The Saltzman Institute’s program on Saving Cyberspace, housed at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, conducts world-class research and promotes critical dialogue to counteract negative trends in cyberspace, especially by investing in future leaders and understanding cyber risks to corporate and national security. This grant will allow the project to continue research and events focused on corporate and systemic cyber risk, cyber conflict, and cyber peace, and to help develop the next generation of diverse leaders. This grant is aligned with the Cyber Initiative’s overall strategy to cultivate a field that develops thoughtful, multidisciplinary solutions to complex cyber challenges.
for the Cybersecurity Recommendations Project
A grant to the School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) at Columbia University will support the Cybersecurity Recommendations Project centered on capturing the full history of cybersecurity recommendations to produce more targeted and impactful research and analysis. This project is a partnership between SIPA and the Atlantic Council — SIPA will collect reports and recommendations and populate a database, and the Atlantic Council will provide an online home for the database and leverage its network to amplify the project and related research with the wider cyber policy community. This grant is aligned with the Cyber Initiative’s overall strategy to cultivate a field that develops thoughtful, multidisciplinary solutions to complex cyber challenges.
