Overview
The Colorado Conservation Voters Education Fund (CCVEF) works to create a strong environmental consensus in the policy arena and to build a strong culture of non-partisan civic engagement around environmental issues among Colorado citizens.
This grant will allow CCVEF to secure short-term outside expertise to help inform the activities of a newly formed working group tasked regarding renewable energy, energy efficiency and other clean energy strategies for Colorado. CCVEF convened this group on behalf of the Governor, and it includes representatives from state government, the environmental community, and the renewable energy sector.
Funding from the grant will be used to hire consultants who will develop a brief report that includes key policy options around a 2010 clean energy strategy as well ideas regarding ways to develop broad citizen support for such a strategy.
(New, $25,000/1; 100% of project budget)
