Overview
The Coalition for Clean Air focuses on reducing air pollution coming from Califiornia's major sources. CCA successfully advocated for the groundbreaking Clean Trucks program at the Ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles that will reduce pollution by 70 percent in five years. CCA advocates that a $700 million community benefits fund be adopted by 2012 to reduce air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions in disadvantaged communities. It is also working to defend California's landmark diesel truck rule in order to reduce truck emissions by 30 percent, as well as to reduce the Central Valley's pollution from diesel agricultural equipment.

for strategic planning and fundraising  
This strategic planning grant will support two coalitions. the California Clean Freight Coalition and the Moving Forward Network, for which Coalition for Clean Air is a part of. THe goal is to analyze the efficiency and effectiveness of all the current efforts to clean up our freight system, and explore avenues for high-impact, high-return strategic fundraising for coalitions' financial sustainability.
for the Zero-ing in on Freight and Charge Ahead programs  
The Coalition for Clean Air is a California-based environmental advocacy organization leading the work to reduce pollution from freight and goods movement in the state. With this grant, the Coalition will continue to support their Zero Emissions Freight Transportation Program and the Charge Ahead Initiative, promoting and developing specific freight mitigation measures together with other coalition partners, port and member communities and allied organizations. They target clean freight policies to reduce carbon dioxide and black carbon emissions including electric drive technologies, infrastructure improvements, and improvements on logistics. One of the priority venues is the California Air Resource Board’s Freight Strategy.
for the Zero-Ing in on Freight Program  
Through this grant, the Coalition for Clean Air would focus on reducing air pollution from freight transportation in California. This is a supplemental grant to the Coalition to support their work on alternative and clean freight technologies through the Charge Ahead campaign, to increase electrification of the transportation sector in the State.
