Cleveland Metropolitan School District

The Cleveland Metropolitan School District envisions 21st century schools where students are challenged with rigorous curricula that consider individual learning styles and the academic capabilities of each student. The district serves over 37,000 students in 103 schools; 100% of the student population is identified as economically disadvantaged, and 80% of the student population is African American or Latinx. This grant supports the design and implementation of the systems of professional learning needed to implement the district’s approach to competency-based education.
